How has your week been? My week's been busy working on tweaks to the site (coming soon!), planning a competition (exciting!), being horrendously sick with the triple whammy of a cold, a chest infection and an asthma flare up, and a whirlwind trip to Amsterdam!
But nonetheless it's been a while since we've put together a Friday Link Feast for you - so here's what we've been enjoying on the interwebs lately, I hope you will too!
♥ I don't know about you, but I'm really digging Homegirl London's lightbulb signage picks!
It's definitely for people with bolder tastes (and perhaps bigger homes), but I think that last horse shoe star would look brilliant above a mantel piece!
♥ We're honoured to have had 10 gorgeous pieces from our range featured in the Home Gems
blog! Jackie picked some of my favourite Mora Approved pieces of all time!
The best ideas are often the simplest. And this is recycling at it's simplest. The 'Goedzak' ('do-gooder bags') is by the Dutch designers Waarmakers
, and is based on the philosophy, “We like stuff, but we like people better”. The idea is that you place the items you no longer want, but is still in good nick, in the clear bag (so people can see what you're giving away at a glance) and leave it by the curb for someone to pick up. But if you don't live in The Netherlands you can make your own goedzak by simply sticking a massive 'Take me home' sign on the bag! (Via The Simple Things
♥ Oh go on. You know you want to make DIY rose collar clip
. I think I'll make this using pale pink silk roses and a bunch of gold chains - ghetto styling. (Via Frankie Magazine Australia)
♥ Can't make it to London to marvel at the views atop The Shard? The Guardian's created an online interactive experience
to make you feel like you're actually there! (Via The Guardian)
♥ How amazing is this? To celebrate the theme of love this month, Sarah of Yes and Yes fame is doing 9 Days of Nice
, where she'll being doing one nice thing for other people every day for nine days. So far she's written nice Yelp reviews for small local businesses, sent a care package to a soldier, paid off someone's lay away balance, and gave a homeless person a McDonald's gift card. That is some mega karma coming her way! (via Yes and Yes)
♥ Wear your heart on your sleeve this Valentine's Day with this adorable wool patch DIY
. (Via Designsponge).
♥ Gah! Justin Timberlake's new album cover is all steampunky goodness
. This will be his first album in seven years (!) entitled The 20/20 Experience and will be released on the 19th March. Hooray! (via Refinery29)
♥ The lovely Kate from Fabric of My Life has put together some covetable wallpaper trends
for 2013. I can imagine all of them being beautifully framed (particularly the Linwood 'Mind the Gap' World train map in 'Urban Influences') and hung as prints as well. (Via Fabricofmylife)
