Claudia and I were in Berlin two weeks ago to celebrate her birthday (happy birthday Clauds!), and while we were touring the city's fabulous shops and bars, we came across this wonderful homewares shop which had the most beautiful Christmas display - a large hanging branch with many beautiful Christmas baubles hanging from it in varying lengths. I was so inspired by the display that I asked the shop assistant to take a photo and she very kindly obliged - only thing is, I didn't take down the name of the shop to credit them! If anyone knows the name of the shop, please let me know.
I've been thinking about creating a smaller replica of this display at home - there's something so otherworldly and ethereal about this display. How incredible would it be to hang fairy lights on the branches and have Christmas dinner sitting on the floor underneath?
We haven't gotten around to buying a Christmas tree yet and I was thinking that this might be a great alternative. I always find it so sad to see unwanted Christmas trees discarded on the footpaths after Christmas - at least with a branch there's less waste.
