This amazing vase range from Dutch designer Foekje Fleur was inspired by the floating debris in the Maas river, which flows through France, Belgium, and the The Netherlands. They're modeled after disposable plastic bottles that have invaded our every day lives - the various shapes of detergent and cleaning bottles. When they're stripped of their garish labels and created in high quality bisque porcelain in a variety of beautiful colours, the bottles take on a new, more permanent meaning. They become objects of beauty, rather than objects to dispose of.
Flesvaas 3 measures 27.7 x 11.4 x 6.4cm and comes in ocean blue. They're handmade in Jingdezhen and are signed by Foekje Fleur. This one in particular has an inbuilt handle like laundry detergent bottles for easy transportation.
We adore these bottle vases because we love how they've turned an otherwise disposable product into something more permanent. They would look beautiful paired together with a vase of a different shape and colour, to create a truly unique statement.
